Paying via your Medical Insurer

The Cotswold  Foot and Ankle Clinic fees are billed in accordance with the guidelines of the private health insurers for all surgical procedures. Both surgeons have always had full professional recognition from all the private health insurance companies. 

Each insurance company and indeed each policy has a separate schedule of re-imbursement to you for the medical fees.  This means that insurance companies may only offer a fixed level of cover, rather than automatically covering all your costs. When you book an operation with us, we will let you know our fees for the surgery prior to admission. You must check these with your insurance company to clarify how much they will help you with costs. It will be your responsibility to settle any shortfalls incurred.

Self-pay Consultations and Procedure packages

Many patients find it very useful to quickly consult an experienced local expert Foot & Ankle Surgeon at a time and a place of their choosing.  In an unrushed setting,  a clear diagnosis and an  explanation of the choice between treatments  is explained. One of these non-operative  treatments may be tried, while waiting for surgery under  a reputable NHS  team.

Any X-rays, scans, tests or investigations required are charged in addition to the consultation fee.
